Ebay is way over the shark

Grr, what is it with eBay lately? I haven't used it for a while, now have used it twice in a month, as a buyer and a seller. Both transactions have so far left us out of pocket.

A couple of weeks we cheaply won an auction for an an old camera with lens. It was sent during the postal strike, and this as well as other mail simply did not arrive. The sender has promised to extract a refund from the postal office, but so far, nothing. He could be caught in the middle, or he could be jiving us.

On the weekend we sold a dissembled Ikea wardrobe, the item text explicitly saying "as is". Today I see that the buyer has "opened a dispute" at paypal since "the item they received did not match your original description.", which is rubbish. Either she's got buyers remorse and is being a nasty person about it, or she's a scam artist.
